Ashley Dudarenok joins Aaron Pang to chat about Chinese consumer behaviours, marketing insights and recent regulations facing internet companies in China. 

Ashley founded two successful businesses - Alarice (social media agency) and ChoZan (training company). In this episode, Ashley shares her journey moving from Russia to China to pursue her studies and how the experience seeded her business career going forward. Ashley also discusses being a woman entrepreneur while explaining that the Chinese market has seen more businesswomen than many other countries in the world. 

She highlights the need to respect people and local culture and being goal-oriented in life. We learn about the trends in consumer behaviors in China and the country's novel mission to eradicate digital illiteracy. There's a lot of attention about new regulations for Internet companies in China, including strict curation and censorship. However, the speaker believes there's also a lot of misinformation about the new regulations.
