The Future Office: Inside the Mind of a Sustainable CEO
There are companies who invest in sustainability for compliance and branding reasons. And there are those who choose to do sustainability because it is the right thing to do for our planet, for the next generation, for our kids. You might know a few of them in your head already.
When companies are purposeless, we will always be thinking about Profits or Sustainability. When we are purposeful, we will always be thinking about Profits and Sustainability. We will pick the impact that balances both, not the one that delivers the most commercial value, or gives us the biggest paycheck.
I recently had a heartfelt conversation with Robert Wall, CEO of JEB Group, about his leadership journey and vision for creating sustainable office environments. We explore how companies can rethink their workspace designs to be more purposeful while reducing carbon footprint and waste. Rob shares insights from his entrepreneurial journey, discusses the influence of workplace design on behavior and culture, and how he uses the guided mindset and positive intentions to direct his choices, decisions and most importantly how he shows up for others.
This guided mindset also led Rob to this when he was young:
"I sabotaged my future for the better."
