I left my corporate job to build a global charity EP5

Fion Leung, CEO and Co-Founder, Time Auction

July 29, 2021

Volunteering is the best real-world education. You need to see it to have that emotional connection, to change someone's mindset.

Fion sits down with Aaron Pang to share how she and her team has successfully built an asset-light charity and achieved over 90,000 volunteering hours after 7 years of operation.

Fion Leung worked with a renowned investment bank before she turned full-time into her passion project and now a highly-regarded charity organization, Time Auction. As a charity that advocates volunteerism, Time Auction has successfully made its presence reach nine countries worldwide with thousands of volunteering hours invested by people globally.

In today’s episode, Aaron speaks with Fion about her decision to pivot from a full-time bank job to focus on her passion entirely, her journey co-founding Time Auction with her friend and business partner, Suetyi Wong, and how the organization works to offer a selfless give-and-take method to foster growth. Fion also shares the importance of using constructive criticism to self-align your company at any time, and discusses why having a co-founder who thinks and supports the business like you, could be the best decision to make.
