Kevin has faced many business and personal crises in life. He managed to pull himself up every time. The mounting debt from his family in his 20s, the failed IPO of his company, an unexpected fire which took two lives and the recent stock market crash. To overcome life's challenges, he always breaks down big challenges into bitesize milestones and celebrate small wins to stay motivated.  His natural motivation comes from curiosity and continuous split testing. Fire bullets and then cannonballs from Jim Collins is one of his favourite business books.

Kevin is the pioneer of the self-storage industry in Hong Kong and Macau. Kevin founded SC Storage in 2001 and organically grew the company into a 63 self storage chain with over 1,100,000 sf.  In 2013, and 2014 independent research firm Ipsos ranked SC Storage as the biggest self-storage in Hong Kong . Kevin was awarded Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 (SCMP/DHL Business Award ).
